Our CEO, Daniel Büttner, presented a keynote at Smart Haptics 2019 in Seattle titled, Open-Sourcing Haptics – Paving the Way to Better Experiences, and proposed a new, user-friendly, standardized approach to haptics.

In the keynote, Daniel presented a broad survey of the haptics market, discussed the adoption of HD haptics in consumer devices, and what the haptics community has to do to make realistic haptics ubiquitous. He also unveiled the VT-1 specification proposal, which provides parameters and requirements for creating high-quality, realistic user experiences through vibrotactile (VT) haptic feedback.

It was exciting to share ideas with so many inspiring minds and leaders in the field. We will continue these discussions and advancements in 2020 to keep the industry moving forward together.
